Oliver Charles Rische

Oliver (Ollie) Charles Rische was born Aug. 9, 1916 to Fredrick and Magdaline Rische. He was married to Pauline Rische for 62 years. She preceded him in death April 17, 2006.

Survivors include daughters Sandra Blatter of Townsend, Tenn. and Ruth Klaver of Payson, Ariz., grandsons, Scott Velde of San Clemente, Calif., Andrew Bierle of San Jose, Calif., and granddaughter, Sheryl Velde of San Jose, Calif., great-grandsons, Zack Rosa of San Jose, Calif., Nicholas Velde of Flagstaff, Ariz. and great-granddaughters, Monique Velde, Carlsbad, Calif. and Angelina Bierle, San Jose, Calif.

Mr. Rische served in World War II as a first lieutenant at Camp Breckenridge, Ky. He served as Commandant Adjutant for the German POW's.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Payson Care Center for all the care and friendship that they provided.

There will be no immediate services. The burial for Pauline and Oliver Rische will be held at Mountain Meadows Cemetery, 335 W, Round Valley Rd, Payson, Ariz. at 10 a.m., Saturday, Aug. 23.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mr. Rische's name to RTA Hospice, 511 S. Mud Springs Road, Payson, AZ 85541.

After services there will be a "Celebration of Life" luncheon at his daughter's home, Lot #9627 Gibson Ranch Road.
